I am an award-winning nature, wildlife, and travel photographer, with my work recognized by esteemed organizations such as National Geographic, Audubon Society, The Nature Conservancy, Triton Museum, and Nat Photo, among others. My photographs, collected by individuals across the country, have been featured in numerous group and solo exhibitions.
I draw a great deal of inspiration from immersing myself in nature, and exploring the world to learn about diverse cultures and landscapes. I am captivated by the planet’s stunning beauty and the remarkable behaviors of the animals I encounter. My landscape and nature photography expresses my profound passion for the Earth’s splendor, while my travel photography aims to share the essence of distant places and cultures. I also love sports photography, capturing those fleeting, extraordinary moments shared by athletes. Through my camera, I freeze moments in time for endless enjoyment.
In addition to photography, my watercolors focus on light, color, and ideas. Both surreal and real images interest me, as each has its place in expressing an idea or a feeling about a time or place, often going beyond where a photograph can reach.
My artistic career includes years working as a graphic designer as well as a fine artist. I studied art at Pratt Institute in New York City and established my design studio in California in 1987. About 14 years ago, I began focusing on photography and have relished the journey of mastering the craft and traveling to various locations to capture images.
